MindPetal leverages Business Process Management (BPM) and low code technologies such as Appian and MiCo’s Mobile Impact Platform to modernize legacy systems and rapidly enable cloud deployment. Features of MindPetal’s low code and BPM solutions include continuous integration (DevOps); code/component reusability; omnichannel development/deployment to multiple platforms (mobile, browsers); and rapid deployment to cloud environments (containerization). For DOL and USDA, MindPetal is using low code/BPM platforms to deliver enterprise-level solutions that convert existing paper-based forms and data collection processes to an electronic format permitting ease of accessibility to case management information.

MindPetal is developing the eFile/eServe case management for the DOL Office of Administrative Law Judges (OALJ) using Appian for low-code development and Drupal for public-facing aspects of the eFile/eServe case management system. eFile/eServe will be the gateway for five million filings each year and will interface with agency-level case management systems. The project uses an Agile approach with 10-day sprints and monthly releases, with two sprint cycles in parallel to accommodate the Appian and Drupal changes.
